Valentine's Day Inspired Interiors - Part 2

Following on from my previous post on Valentine's inspired interiors, I decided to find a few things to add to any room to add a shot of pink ...

I've gone for some pretty bright shades of pink, as these make much more of a statement alone than pastel pink which can easily fade out depending on what other colours you're mixing it with.  This frosted pink lamp is actually from Ikea! I probably wouldn't use it as a main light source, as I expect it would give out a pink tinted glow, but on a bookcase or shelf it would be pretty quirky addition. Cushions are a seriously easy way to add colour, pattern or texture into a room; I chose an affordable bright pink velvet cushion from H&M and a handmade, chevron & dip-dyed cushion from Etsy. I actually think they would look incredible together mixing such a striking print soft texture.
This diamond print rug from Zara Home is the perfect combination of texture, colour and pattern & it's neutral base means it would compliment most colour rooms. Another larger purchase is this amazing wing back armchair by I love the modern shape and multicoloured buttons, they make it so eye catching and cool.
Some smaller accessories like the Pineapple tea light holder and the yellow & pink transparent storage box add a hint of pink and personality into a room without making a feature out of the colour, perfect for a more "eclectic" interior.
Overall, it's so easy to add new colours to your rooms, whether it's larger blocks from furniture or walls, or small, unique elements that add some personality without over powering the rest of your belongings. I'd love to know if you have a pink interior, or how you would incorporate more colour into your home...
